Dumont show home opens at Fieldways
6 March 2008

The new Dumont showhome, recently opened at Barratt’s development at Fieldways in Paulton, is drawing in buyers from across the region curious to see how Barratt has successfully combined historic interest with modern spacious 21st century living.

Fieldways is designated an 'area of special architectural or historic interest’ so the need to preserve or enhance has been embraced by the Barratt architects across all house designs including the Dumont, a four bedroom family house.

From the reactions to the showhome, the main ‘wow’ factor has been the large kitchen, complete with fitted contemporary units and a dining area. Walls have been painted red and the furniture is dark wood, creating a stunning effect that has been warmly regarded by many potential home owners.

"The Dumont has been a wonderful success with lots of people coming in to see what materials we have used and how we have created so much space," said Barratt sales director Louise Ware.

The Dumont is the third showhome to open on the Church Street development. The three bedroom Maidstone and the popular two bedroom Roseberry opened last year and have attracted a broad spectrum of buyers wanting a semi-rural location.

Priced at £295,995, it boasts a light and spacious lounge and an attractive and colour-coordinated main bathroom and separate dining room with French doors out to the rear garden.

The house also provides a handy study area, while the master bedroom benefits from a modern en-suite facility. There is a useful storage area and downstairs cloakroom and the double glazing and energy efficient heating ensure maximum comfort.
