Wolverhampton development is safe as houses says investor

Wolverhampton development is safe as houses says investor A seasoned property investor has snapped up three properties off plan at St Peter’s Walk, by George Wimpey West Midlands, on the up-and-coming Wednesfield Road.

The flagship development is a timely regeneration of the Chubb Works site and Never Ndemera, who lives in Dudley but works out of Wolverhampton, has purchased three, 3-bedroom properties to primarily rent out to nurses and hospital workers at the nearby New Cross Hospital.

He explains: “It’s within easy walking distance of both the hospital and the town centre, so I’m confident that demand will be strong. I have a property in nearby Woden Road, which has always done well, and now that the city centre regeneration is coming into Heath Town it will appeal more to young professionals. And just down the road the other way, Bentley Bridge Leisure Park offers cinema, shops and sports facilities, while the new gym that’s opened opposite is also proving to be very popular.

“St Peter’s Walk has really smartened the area up and I liked the look and feel of the development straight away. The Bluebrick development nearby is also very prestigious and the overall Canalside Quarter regeneration programme is putting this side of the city on the map. I also like dealing with George Wimpey because their investor package is very good compared with other housebuilders I’ve dealt with and the service from sales executive Linda has been fantastic. Apart from being very nice, she’s also proactive, helpful and switched on.”

Characterful mews style homes, contemporary three storey properties, spacious, family homes and designer apartments (130 in total) are all on offer at St Peter’s Walk, which is a truly mixed development that has something for everyone’s taste and budget. And the recently constructed three-storey ‘Birch’ streetscene next to the showhome and sales centre is already earning rave reviews because it utilises cutting edge balconies and contemporary building materials like weather boarding, rock cladding and rendering.

George Wimpey West Midlands sales manager, Anne Wallace adds: “With space at a premium, clever design fuses naturally with intelligent planning at St Peter’s Walk, which also features traffic calming measures designed to keep speeds down to walking pace. Dwellings with balconies surround and overlook a large, central area of public open space, which effectively looks and acts like a village green.

“It’s based on the ‘homezone’ concept that’s very popular in Europe and the basic idea is that when you step out of the door you have priority over cars – open spaces pander to people’s needs rather than their vehicles. Equally, houses are grouped in to clusters with shared areas and this way you get to meet people and have access to your own green spaces.”

Latest availability at St Peter’s Walk includes three and four bedroom homes from just £156,995. The Sales Office and stunning Larch and Birch showhomes on Wednesfield Road are open seven days a week, 10am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11am – 5.30pm on Sunday.
