Exclusive children's clothing firm Jakeandmaya are celebrating the launch of their exciting new AW2012 Collection.

The British company's stunning collection features clothes for girls and boys by designer Tze Ching Yeung, who is rapidly making a name for herself in the children's fashion world after setting up Jakeandmaya in 2010.

AW2012 is a truly inspirational, and aspirational, range of clothing inspired by traditional values and the innocence of children - and it's already been thrilling retailers across the UK and Europe.

Jakeandmaya makes collections as sustainable as possible by using local artisans and craftsmen and use a lot of remnant and vintage materials. Their beautiful range of handbags, for example, was hand-made in London using remnant leather from a local curtain-maker.

Jakeandmaya, named after Tze Ching's twins, prides itself on detailing, fit and, of course, style. The combination makes for quality clothes designed and hand-made in Britain that children and adults alike will love.

Hand-stitching, knitting and hand-printing all makes for an explosive and exciting combination of contemporary couture clothing with a vintage, traditional feel, which has proved incredibly popular with retailers.

Their AW2012 collection has already attracted interest from a range of international retailers, including London's Harvey Nichols store and AlexandAlexa, one of the world's most influential online children's stores.

Delighted owner and clothes designer Tze Ching, said: "We are thrilled with our AW2012 collection. The styling is, as usual, quite traditional, but we have added really fantastic details and textures and it looks great.

"Others do, too, because the response to it has been amazing. Harvey Nichols stocked our last range, which proved highly popular with shoppers looking for unique clothing, and now we have agreed a deal with AlexandAlexa.

"It's great that international retailers are willing to work with relatively new brands, like Jakeandmaya, as we do understand it is a risk that they take on. However, so far it seems the risk has been well worth taking.

"Quality and sustainability are part of the bedrock at Jakeandmaya and we are extremely proud to be a British company producing clothes made in Britain, using highly skilled manufacturers. The level of care and craftsmanship that we put into each and every individual piece of clothing shines through, benefiting retailers and buyers alike."
