If you go down to Saxon Court this weekend you’re in for a big surprise – Redrow will be holding a teddy bears’ picnic at the popular development in Sherburn in Elmet.

Young visitors are being invited to bring along their own teddy bears to this fun filled family event on Sunday (April 1) – and they could win a VIP behind the scenes tour of Yorkshire Wildlife Park by answering some simple questions about the show home.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), explains: “Our development features a variety of family homes and we want all members of the family to be involved in choosing the right one for them – young and old.

“The idea of holding a teddy bears’ picnic was inspired by our latest marketing campaign, which features five-year-old Issy highlighting the all-round family appeal of a new Redrow home.

“A special promotional film of Issy demonstrating one of our show homes has been an internet hit and her own favourite teddy bears are prominent in that film. Sunday’s event is a chance for our customers’ children to show their parents our homes through the eyes of a child.”

A children’s entertainer will be on hand painting faces and modelling balloons.

Sandwiches and refreshments will be served and young visitors who take along their bears will be rewarded with a party bag of treats.

Located in Moor Lane in Sherburn in Elmet, Saxon Court is close to a number of schools making it the perfect place for buyers to put down roots and raise a family. The bustling market town of Selby is nearby and the thriving cities of Leeds and York are just a short journey away.

“Saxon Court offers homebuyers the chance to enjoy traditional village living but with easy access to modern conveniences,” Patsy added.

“The design of the homes also has a best of both worlds appeal as they combine the charm of old and the convenience of new. Externally they give a nod to the past, taking inspiration from the architecture of the Arts and Crafts era; while inside they are stylish, practical and full of mod-cons including integrated kitchen appliances such as microwave, oven and fridge freezer with tall cabinets and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage. For ease of living the master bedroom boasts an en-suite to complement the family bathroom, with both facilities enjoying quality fixtures and fittings.”

Four-bedroom detached family homes in a choice of styles are currently available at Saxon Court, priced from £265,999.

To join in the fun of the teddy bears’ picnic, head along to Saxon Court this Sunday (April 1) from noon to 4pm.
