Bellway Homes has kicked-off the spring season with the unveiling of two stylish new showhomes, the Rosebery and the Bannerman, at the company’s West Lothian development – Hanlin Park.

Situated within the town of Armadale, Hanlin Park forms part of an exciting £200 million regeneration initiative taking place, which encompasses an extensive range of new facilities including a railway station, primary school, health centre, hotel, community centre, supermarket, shops and cafes, creating a flourishing new neighbourhood.

Fraser Conn, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Homes, said: “This is a significant project to be involved in and we have ensured that the mix of properties available at Hanlin Park provide an opportunity for a variety of buyers to secure a new home within this dynamic setting.

“When we launched the development towards the end of last year, we were determined to have the showhomes ready and opened by the start of spring, allowing prospective buyers to experience firsthand what life at Hanlin Park could be like for them. Both show properties have been deliberately dressed to provide stylish yet minimalist interiors, as this allows viewers to fully appreciate the space available, specification and innovative design layout of each home.”

On entering the well-planned three-bedroom detached Rosebery, the lounge exudes a feeling of calmness from every corner of the room. Two white leather sofas invite viewers to sit down and soak up the relaxing ambience. A splash of colour is added from a mix of rich purple and smoky grey velvet and satin scatter cushions. The white TV cabinet contrasts perfectly with the large black plasma screen. A block of silver embossed wallpaper behind the TV cabinet, set against a white wall, cleverly imitates a large film screen.

The adjoining dining room features six white sculpted dining chairs, seated around a rectangular table with opaque glass top, which would not look out of place on the movie set of a highly stylised sci-fi film and are certain to make any dining experience one of total comfort. Light floods this room via the French doors that lead out to the rear garden and the delicate muslin curtains ensure maximum solar gain whatever the season. The French doors are bordered by a wall painted in soft lavender, which adds warmth to the room. The black pelmet above the French doors, ebony shade of the standard lamp and striking charcoal frame that adorns the large wall mounted mirror all add a touch of drama.

Moving from the dining room into the kitchen, again Bellway Homes employs a deft hand in the interior design, generating another calm surrounding. The slate effect flooring and integrated stainless steel oven, hob and cookerhood harmonise with the pristine white cabinetry of the fitted units. A downstairs cloakroom and integrated garage with utility area complete this level of the Rosebery.

On the upper floor of the property, three beautifully presented bedrooms have been tastefully decorated to provide the perfect environment for rest and relaxation.

The en-suite master-bedroom features a sumptuous champagne coloured satin bedspread that seamlessly blends with the fawn carpet. Chocolate coloured velvet scatter cushions and a block of gold and brown striped wallpaper to the back of the white head board generate effortless luxury. The elegant white bedside tables match the headboard and each displays a striking lamp with a shimmering silver base adorned by crisp white shades.

Bedroom two uses a similar palette to the master-bedroom in terms of the bed linen and carpet. However, the chenille purple cushions and matching headboard, set against pale lilac walls, and the mirrored beside tables suggest that this room has been dressed for the young lady of the house. Bedroom three is a complete departure from the rest of the property and would make the ideal guest room or home office. A room of perfect symmetry, white walls contrast with the black bedspread, high gloss ebony desk and chair.

Next door, while the colour and tones used throughout the four-bedroom detached Bannerman differ from the Rosebery, the theme of ‘less is more’ continues.

Two hessian taupe coloured sofas are positioned to take full advantage of an inventive feature within the lounge – Bellway’s take on a modern fireplace. A plasma screen is hung against a striking ebony TV cabinet that is similar in shape to a traditional fireplace, making a modern hearth in the centre of the lounge. Two large circular mirrors are positioned either side of the TV cabinet giving the impression of porthole windows. To the far end of the lounge in front of the bay widow, a leather toffee coloured swivel chair is the perfect place for ‘Kindleing’ up with your favourite book.

The kitchen of the Bannerman is certain to be the hub of this family home. White high gloss wall units and matching worktops and tiled flooring harmonise with the fitted walnut kitchen cupboards. Adjoining the kitchen is the dining area, where six black leather chairs are placed around a glass dining table in front the patio doors, creating a light and airy space. A separate utility room neighbours he kitchen and benefits from the same walnut units, allowing both rooms flow together.

One of the key attractive features of the Bannerman is that a separate family room is accessed next to the dining area of the kitchen. An assortment the three divan style sofas in soft caramel adorned with an abundance of scatter cushions is the perfect place to snuggle and enjoy family movies on the wall mounted plasma screen or fun on the Wii or Xbox.

The four-bedrooms on the upper level of the Bannerman each provide a very gown up interior, nowhere more so than the master-bedroom. The bitter chocolate bed linen, two black leather swivel chairs and ebony headboard, which runs horizontally the full length of the wall, are interspersed with softer tones via silver scatter cushions and the chrome base and white shade of the lamps on the bedside shelves. Above the headboard, silver and grey vertical striped wallpaper produce the effected of stylish corrugated metal pipes, fashioning the look of a bespoke urban hotel or New York apartment.

The ebony and ivory theme, with accents of soft caramel and silver, continues within the second and third bedrooms – however, bedroom four is a complete contrast. The sandy tones of the carpet, white duvet cover, fawn cushions and Eqyptian gold band that runs through the middle of the curtains will remind viewers that summer isn’t too far away. A border of wallpaper made up of blocks of silver, white and taupe squares runs on along each wall, achieving a mosaic effect.

As with all the properties at Hanlin Park, both showhomes exhibit a superior specification and finish, from quality tiling within the bathrooms and en-suites to attractive integrated appliances in the kitchens and a wide choice of floor coverings and fitted kitchen units from Bellway’s extensive options collection.

Further adding to the appeal of life at Hanlin Park is that Bellway has a number of tailored incentives available for buyers to choose from including Express Mover, Part Exchange and 5% Deposit Paid.

Aside from the substantial regeneration taking place close to the development, Armadale has a wealth of social and leisure pursuits including the Xcite Leisure Centre, Polkemmet County Park, with its nine-hole course and Bridgecastle Golf Club. The town is an ideal commuter destination, as the new rail line now provides a regular service between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The M8 is also easily accessed for travelling to Livingston, Linlithgow and Bathgate as well as across much of the central belt and beyond.

Prices at Hanlin Park are currently released from £129,995. For further information on the development, visit bellway.co.uk.
