Thai ceremony at Amari Vogue Krabi
If you fancy trying something completely different, how about a Thai ceremony to celebrate your wedding? It’s completely up to you how many elements of a traditional Thai wedding you would like to incorporate into your day. Just some of the activities you can pick from include a traditional Hae Khaan Maak (Long Drum Procession) on the morning of the ceremony. This is a Thai tradition where friends and relatives meet at the groom’s house and walk to the bride’s home in a parade with dancing and long drums, before proceeding to the ceremony. In the hotel, the staff will act as the family. The party then proceeds to the location of a traditional monk ceremony. The bride and groom kneel on the floor in front of the monks, before lighting candles and incense sticks and the ceremony itself consists of prayers and chanting.
