Henley event to assist Londoners in the boat of being single
Those inspired by watching the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, who want to see some more river-based entertainment before the summer is out, can take advantage of a very special day out at the Henley Royal Regatta organised by London’s socialising and singles club, Dinner Dates, for Sunday, July 1.
Dinner Dates prides itself on organising exceptional events for busy people who do not get the chance to expand their social circle, because they make neither the arrangements nor the effort to get out and meet new people.
To help those in this boat, Dinner Dates has selected Henley 2012 as an ideal occasion at which to host an event that will encourage male and female guests to mix, chat and forge new friendships. Some may even find that special someone.
The Dinner Dates group will receive full VIP treatment at the regatta, with their day based within the Temple Island Enclosure, regarded as the finest hospitality facility at the event and just moments from the start.
The package includes admission to this enclosure, morning coffee, champagne, Pimms and canapés, as well as a four-course luncheon, fine wines, port and brandy and a 1.5-hour river cruise at which Pimms, bucks fizz and soft drinks will be served. It also comprises a delicious, traditional afternoon tea of strawberries and cream and a complimentary bar throughout the day.
This event is one of the highlights of a packed Dinner Dates calendar featuring everything from Open Golf to clay pigeon shooting and from delightful dinners, to evenings at the opera and theatre. Dinner Dates also organises holidays for its members, black tie balls and more unusual experiences.
Dinner Dates’ membership costs £199 plus VAT, but those joining in June who are introduced by an existing member, or who bring a male guest to at least one event that they book at the time of joining will only pay £11 per month to access the events programme and then the cost of whatever takes their eye.
The VIP day out at Henley costs £299 including VAT. Drinks parties and dinners are typically priced between £60 and £80, which includes full hosting of events, with the host or hostess ensuring that there is an opportunity to meet most or all people at the event and have someone break the ice and introduce you to the people you would like to get to know.
