Post-Olympic camping and mobile home bargains
Book now is the message to families delaying reserving their holiday until after the Olympics says camping and mobile home operator, Venue Holidays.
Availability with the company, which specialises in France, Italy and Spain, is limited from 12 August onwards, but for those quick-off-the-mark there are still deals to be had.
In Spain, for example, a week from 13 August in an Espace tent at Playa de Pals on the Costa Brava now costs £450 per family, a reduction of £113. The campsite, which is situated in a nature conservation area, has two beaches – one lakeside and one beachside – and offers facilities such as pool, windsurfing, cycle hire, mini golf and tennis.
At San Vincenzo in Tuscany, seven nights from 15 August in a three-bedroom mobile home with air-con and decking is now priced at £906 per family, saving £100. The campsite is an ideal choice for water babies; the sea is close by and it has indoor and outdoor pools, plus three lagoon pools with fun islands and water slides.
Finally, a week in a two-bedroom mobile home with decking from 18 August at Berny Riviere in Picardy now costs £683, saving £121. There’s a huge range of on-site facilities including indoor and outdoor pools with chutes, slides and waterfalls, canoeing, fishing, cycle and canoe hire, gym, sauna and archery. The campsite also runs excursions to Paris and Disneyland Resort Paris.
The above prices are the total for two adults and up to four children and include return midweek saver Dover/Calais ferry crossing for car and passengers. For those who prefer to make their own travel arrangements, a discount of £50 per party applies.
