For those buyers who choose Sharp Start, this enables them to purchase their home with an 80% mortgage and only a 5% deposit. Bellway Homes lends the remaining 15%, which is interest free for the first five years. From year six onwards, interest will be charged at 1.75% on the loan, which will increase by RPI plus 1% every year from then on.
