A home from Redrow’s popular New Heritage Collection at Buckshaw Village has been shortlisted for an award in the Northern Design Awards.

The four-bedroom Cambridge at the Village Green is vying against four other homes for the title of Best Affordable New Build (Under £500k) in the awards.

Redrow will find out if the Cambridge has won the award at a gala dinner at Manchester Central on November 30.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “We’re delighted that the Cambridge at the Village Green has been recognised by the judges in the Northern Design Awards. The Cambridge was one of five show homes at The Village Green to showcase our New Heritage Collection and has been particularly popular with purchasers. It’s ideal home that’s neither too big nor too small and is both affordable and aspirational for the majority of British families.”

Finished in rough-cast render, the Cambridge show home at The Village Green displays many features typical of the Arts and Craft style, including stone sills and a traditional flat-roofed timber dormer window, neatly covered with a lead roof.

Inside, the open plan kitchen, dining and family room offers a place for families to eat, meet, relax or generally socialise.

The kitchen boasts Luca White units from the Moores Furniture Group, with Moderna Lemonwood feature cabinets and drawers plus integral oven, microwave, fridge freezer and a dishwasher as standard.

There’s a separate utility room with sink, storage and plumbed for automatic washer and dryer.

The elegant and homely lounge offers a beautiful space for more formal entertaining or simply to relax and enjoy some privacy.

Upstairs, bedrooms are spacious and well planned, with careful consideration given to where beds and furniture will be best placed. The family bathroom and en-suite to master bedroom are everything that today’s discerning home owner demands – crisp, clean, contemporary and pleasing to the eye with quality fixtures and fittings.

“Combining well-planned accommodation and a high specification interior, the Cambridge provides everything families want and need from a home,” Claire adds.

“Easy to manage and efficient to run, it offers home owners the chance to bid farewell to costly repairs and renovations and should also save them money on their fuel bills when compared to an older, draughty second hand property.”

The Cambridge show home at The Village Green sold for £286,995, an extremely competitive price for a property of its size and calibre.

Although the Cambridge has now been sold, Redrow still has plenty to offer homebuyers at Buckshaw Village. Between the various phases there’s a good choice available ranging from one-bedroom apartments to large and luxurious five-bedroom detached family homes.
