Commercial vehicle dealer launches online shop

A new online shop selling consumables to the motor industry was launched last month (Nov 12) by independent commercial vehicle dealer MC Group.

The shop - accessible through the MC Group website or at mc-shop.co.uk - offers quick and easy access to a range of transport consumables, accessories, tools and equipment, which can be selected and purchased all from the convenience of a computer or Smartphone.

The Group, an established commercial vehicle dealer providing sales, parts and servicing considers the move as another step closer to becoming a one-stop transport shop. MC Group sales director, Dave Hutchins, said “the aim of the new shop is to make it easier for customers to purchase all their transport and workshop consumables and equipment. From kettles, heaters and radios to cable ties and tool kits, there’s a good range of useful products, at some of the most competitive prices on the web.”

This venture is the latest in a range of other notable investments by MC including a mobile hydraulic support service and the addition of VOSA approved MOT testing facilities to many of its sites. All of which are aimed at providing maximum accessibility and convenience for customers. Hutchins explains, “We always strive to meet our customers’ needs and expectations and more and more so we see how convenience is a key benefit to them. Many of our business developments focus on this and the launch of our online shop with the benefits it brings to the customer is evidence of our dedication.”

MC has been greatly spurred on by being named Motor Transports Dealer of the Year 2012. The addition of the online shop is aiming to demonstrate its willingness to continue to develop with customers and their evolving needs. Hutchins sums up “we simply couldn’t ignore the huge impact the Internet is having on the way our customers operate. We were named Dealer of the Year largely on our ability to offer total transport solutions and we see our online shop as natural progression.”
