Far East expert Bamboo Travel has created the perfect luxury trip to Indonesia for 2013 entitled Bali, Java & Borneo in Style. One of the highlights of the 13-day holiday which combines luxury, adventure, culture and wildlife, is the chance for a couple to spend a night on their very own desert island – the ultimate escape for those wishing to pop the question, honeymooners or simply for die hard romantics!

The trip commences with a relaxing three-night stay in a private villa resort in Jimbaran Bay on Bali, an ideal place to recharge and soak up the island’s atmosphere.

From Bali, a short flight is taken to Yogyakarta, to explore central Java's rich cultural heritage, and stay in a luxury boutique hotel overlooking the majestic monument of Borobudur.

Whilst there, a private tour will include visits to Prambanan and the Kraton and there is an optional chance on day six to get up early to watch the sun rise over the famous Buddhist statue of Borobudur.

Next on the itinerary is a short flight to Kalimantan, for a two-night night stay in the rainforests of Tanjung Puting National Park. Whilst there, a private tour will include a visit to see Borneo’s famous indigenous Orangutans.

The trip finishes with a five-night stay at the luxurious Kura Kura Resort which is located on the paradise island of Menjawaken, located between Java and Borneo.

Bamboo Travel is also able to arrange transfers to the island by private yacht for those who really want to push the boat out (no pun intended).

And, for the ultimate romantic adventure, guests are also able to spend a night in a rustic cottage on a private desert island in the Karimunjawa National Marine Park (at a supplement).

The tiny island of Krakal is a true paradise surrounded by white sands and crystal clear waters, located 30 minutes by speedboat from Kura Kura Resort. The island has two cottages which serve as a bedroom with an en suite and a living room.

Dinner and breakfast consists of a gourmet picnic box accompanied by an ice box full of a choice of drinks. A camping stove is provided to make coffee.

There is no kitchen or electricity on the island so the Kura Kura resort provide a gourmet picnic and ice box full of a choice of drinks. Torch flame and candles create a romantic atmosphere in the evening, and a mobile phone is provided in case guests need to contact the staff (a guardian can stay with guests on the island if preferred).

The holiday can commence any time between May and the end of October and costs from £3,495 pp (two sharing). This includes international and domestic flights, 13-nights’ B&B (plus 2 lunches & 4 dinners), private transfers and tours and an English-speaking guide.

All Bamboo Travel itineraries can be tailor-made to suit particular requirements.
