Panasonic’s semi professional camcorders have long been regarded as providing the pinnacle of image quality and Panasonic’s new HC-X920 with built in Wi-Fi is no exception. Equipped with the New 3MOS System PRO, this model uses the BSI (Back Side Illumination) Sensor to enhance the three MOS sensors for excellent shooting performance even in dim lighting situations. Technically specified at every angle, the new HC-X920 offer consumers professional features and professional-like image quality.

3MOS System Pro with the BSI Sensor for Superbly Stunning Image Quality:

The X920 features the new 3MOS System Pro for ultrafine image quality worthy of a flagship model. The New 3MOS System PRO is comprised of the F1.5 LEICA Dicomar Lens, the 3MOS Sensor, and Crystal Engine Pro II. The F1.5 LEICA Dicomar Lens features a Nano Surface Coating for bright, crystal-clear, high-resolution images. The 3MOS Sensor achieves dramatically improved sensitivity with BSI technology. And the Crystal Engine Pro II provides high-speed processing to significantly reduce noise. In addition to the excellent colour reproduction and high-resolution images that the 3MOS system is known for, the New 3MOS System PRO delivers greatly enhanced image quality, particularly in images shot in dimly lit situations, and achieves a 50% reduction in noise as compared to previous models.

Built-in Wi-Fi:

Highly technically specified, the new addition has built in Wi-Fi so users can effortlessly shoot, view and share footage. The Wi-Fi function enables real-time broadcasting of important events via Ustream, while recording in Full-HD. This lets users deliver live images to people with Internet access around the world. There is also a function to send e-mail to notify the start of streaming to preregistered e-mail addresses. Users can also remotely check audio recording, zoom In/Out and shutter ON/OFF, while viewing the live image on a smartphone or tablet by using the dedicated Panasonic Image App. Highlight Playback of recorded images is also possible with a smartphone or tablet. Favourite scenes can be shared on SNS with simple drag-and-drop operation. Thanks to the built in Wi-Fi, the home monitoring feature lets users check on pets or family at home from the outside. They can even talk to their family while viewing them on the screen, and record images remotely from a smartphone.

29.8mm Wide Angle and Intelligent 25x Zoom:

The wide shooting range expands the breadth of photographic expression, extending from 29.8mm wide angle to Intelligent 25x zooming. This makes it possible to capture everything from panoramic scenery to telephoto images for obtaining dynamic images of subjects at a distance.

Professional Shooting:

A manual ring is provided to meet the needs of high-end amateur photographers who are not satisfied with the auto shooting function and want to have full control of the camcorder operation. The large manual ring allows intuitive operation of zoom, focus, iris, shutter speed and white balance. To ensure professional level footage free of any unwanted tilting, the X920 is equipped with Level Shot, in addition to the 5-Axis Hybrid O.I.S. that thoroughly suppresses blurring over the entire shooting range. Level Shot automatically detects and corrects the tilting of captured images. It records crisp, clear images that are blur-less and perfectly horizontal even if when shooting in an unstable or awkward position such as low-angle or high-angle shooting. Viewing footage is effortlessly easy thanks to the extendable 263,424-dot equivalent electronic viewfinder, allowing users to conveniently focus and make other adjustments. The EVF makes it easy to see the shooting scene under bright sunlight that makes the LCD difficult to see. Allowing easy control, the X920 enjoys an intuitive touch operation LCD.

The top of the range X920 also include a 5.1ch Surround, Zoom and Focus Microphone and New Wind Noise Canceller, further adding to their semi-professional credentials. In addition, with the optional 3D Conversion Lens VW-CLT2 mounted, these models will also record FULL HD 3D images. Leading the way with superb image quality even in dim light, the flagship X920 Camcorder is a case in point. With a wealth of shooting functions and Wi-Fi compatibility the new addition has all angles covered and will be available from February 2013.
