Commuters to London could benefit from a shorter journey to work by securing their place at Taylor Wimpey’s Waterside Grange development of new homes for sale in Langley.

Property-seekers looking for a brand new home within easy reach of central London will be able to take advantage of quicker journey times into the capital from Taylor Wimpey’s Waterside Grange development of properties in Langley.

That’s because Langley and Slough railway stations – both just a short distance from the development of houses and apartments in Langley – are among the 37 stations which will form part of the new Crossrail service linking Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west with Canary Wharf, Abbey Wood and Shenfield to the east.

The new Crossrail trains will be electrified, meaning they will be quicker, cleaner, quieter, smoother and more reliable – with four trains per hour at peak times from Langley into central London and estimated journey times to Paddington cut from over half an hour to 24 minutes.

Improvement works are already being carried out at the stations west of Paddington in preparation for the new services starting in 2018.

And with predictions that the price of houses in Langley and along the Crossrail route could rise by up to 25% over the next 10 years, home-hunters are advised to take advantage of lower prices at Waterside Grange while they can.

Tim Betts, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Langley, says: “The new Crossrail service is expected to bring a host of benefits for residents along the route.

“Langley is due to see the daily commute into Paddington cut by up to 10 minutes, with improved links to the West End, the City and Canary Wharf.

“However, the service is only going to make this popular part of the country even more desirable, with property values predicted to reflect this, so I’d urge anyone hoping to find their ideal home at Waterside Grange to get in now and take advantage of today’s great-value prices!”

There’s currently a superb choice of homes currently on sale at Waterside Grange, including selected one and two-bedroom apartments which are available to qualifying buyers for 80% of their full price under the FirstBuy scheme – that’s as little as £140,000 (full prices from £175,000). Alternatively, spacious three and four-bedroom houses are priced from just £335,000 at the development.

Waterside Grange is the perfect haven for commuters, with selected properties enjoying peaceful views across an attractive rural stretch of the Grand Union Canal yet with Langley railway station just a short walk away.

The new homes are located off Middlegreen Road, Langley, within easy reach of the village’s everyday facilities including a post office, medical centre, leisure centre, and places to eat out. Langley’s charming historic buildings include St Mary's Church and the Kedermister Library, 17th century almshouses and the Red Lion Pub.

Families will appreciate that there are schools for children of all ages just a short distance away, with the opportunity of a grammar school education at Langley Grammar School, just over a mile from home, for those passing the entrance exam.

Junction 5 of the M4 is just two miles from the development while Langley railway station currently offers regular services to Paddington in a little over half an hour, and direct links to Reading and Oxford.

To find out more about the opportunities for commuters and the benefits of the Crossrail service at Waterside Grange, property-seekers should visit the Sales Information Centre, located off Middlegreen Road, Langley, SL3 7BN, and open daily from 10.30am until 5.30pm.
