Ragley Hall nominated for a ‘Cool Venue’ industry award

Ragley Hall, Warwickshire’s stunning stately home, has been nominated for a ‘Cool Venue’ award by Prestige Events magazine in the ‘Country House’ category. The awards, which are in their 6th year, are judged by a panel of industry experts including writers, peers and corporate buyers. Other nominees in the same category include impressive venues such as Gleneagles, Waddesdon Manor, Brocket Hall and Highclere Castle, the location for Downton Abbey. Ragley will attend the awards ceremony on the 28 February at the Ministry of Sound in London to find out whether they have won this prestigious industry award.

Ragley has been nominated for this award for many reasons. Firstly, the stately home has recently been involved in a number of high profile TV and drama series including appearing in the BBC Countryfile Christmas Special, Dancing on the Edge and Flog It Trade Secrets. Secondly, Ragley hosts many impressive and prestigious high profile events including the Classic Car Show (26 – 27 May), Battle Proms (31 August) and CLA Game Fair (19 – 21 July). The Game Fair has been hailed as the ‘world’s biggest country sports and outdoor pursuits event’ and Ragley has yet again been chosen as one of 3 venues in the UK to host this 3 day show.

Ragley also hosted a highly successful corporate ‘family fun day’ last September for a major communications company. This exclusive-use event brought together employees and their families and included an impressive stage area with live music, family activities including Ragley’s Adventure Wood, boating on Ragley Lake, climbing walls, inverted bungee jump, traditional carousel and petting farm.
