After home-buyers rapidly snapped up successive deals and properties at the Melrose development in Bowburn, house-builder Taylor Wimpey has revealed it is the last chance to buy, with just seven homes remaining.

The developer recently launched a range of show homes at the thriving site, which show cased the mix of two, three and four bedroom homes on offer.

Lucy Butcher, sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North East describes how the impact of the show homes has been astounding, and they have been taken aback by the continued sales on-site.

She said: “We expected a steady increase in footfall when we introduced the show homes, but the fact that we are now in a position where the site is near completion is fantastic.

“I’m positive that the success is thanks in part to the competitive pricing and our home-buying schemes that have been available at Melrose, particularly FirstBuy.

The developers FirstBuy initiative works as a joint 20 per cent loan from Taylor Wimpey and the government, where buyers can take advantage of just a five per cent deposit, but will own 100 per cent of the property from day one.

Homes at Melrose start from just £89,995 and Lucy urges any interested house-hunters to get in touch or visit the development as soon as possible.

She concluded: “Accounting for how sales have progressed in recent weeks, it won’t be long before these final few homes are off the market.”

For further information about Melrose visit the sales office on Durham Road, Bowburn. The site is open Thursday, Friday and Monday 10am to 5pm and 10am to 5.30pm, weekends. Alternatively, log on to taylorwimpey.co.uk.
