Morris Homes has achieved a record start to 2013 in Peterborough with £5.5 million worth of property sold in the region since the start of the year.

A surge of visitors to the housebuilder’s Thorpe Green, Edgewood and zero carbon Vista developments has generated 28 sales and nine completions.

Buyers in Peterborough have been attracted to the long-term benefits of owning a quality new build home and many have taken advantage of Morris’ Part Exchange scheme. The initiative involves the housebuilder purchasing the buyer’s current property for 100 per cent of its market value when they buy a Morris home, which speeds up the moving process and allows buyers to avoid estate agent fees.

Cindy Cade, regional sales director at Morris, said: “Our diverse Peterborough portfolio means we can offer buyers a great mix of properties, from energy-saving starter homes to elegant family houses.

“All three sites have been extremely popular since the start of the year, with the Part Exchange scheme helping buyers to quickly sell their property and be settled in their new home in a matter of weeks.

“The homes at our innovative Vista development have only been on sale since early November, and we have seen buyers rush to secure one of these coveted emission reducing properties.”

Prices for properties at Morris’ Peterborough developments start from £99,750. For more information on the schemes and homes available at Thorpe Green, Edgewood and Vista visit morrishomes.co.uk.
