Whatley Drive development in Pewsey

House hunters wanting to get a taste of life at Pewsey’s newest property development will be able to visit a brand new view home when it opens its doors on Sunday 28 April.

Located at Redcliffe Homes’ Whatley Drive development, the new view home is a three-storey, four-bedroom Corsham and will feature the very latest design trends, fabrics and colours.

Dressed by Pewsey-based interior design company Ambience Interiors, house hunters who pop along on the day will be able to chat to staff from the company who will be on hand to offer advice and opinion on what’s hot in the interior design world.

The company will also be bringing along a selection of the newest fabrics and samples so those thinking about buying a new property at the development can get some excellent ideas on how to decorate their new home.

In addition, local chef, Emily Wood, from the Barge Inn, Honey Street, Pewsey will be cooking up a storm in the kitchen showcasing some seasonal recipes and dishes for hungry house hunters using local produce supplied by Nigel Lithou of Vale of Pewsey butchers.

And for those wanting a memento of their visit can get a fun portrait of themselves by caricaturist Chrissy Marshall who will be sketching house hunters as they take a look around the development.

With just 43 properties Whatley Drive offers a unique mix of 25 different home styles ranging from one-bedroom apartments up to five-bedroom detached houses.

Appealing to a range of house hunters from first time buyers, those looking for more room and downsizers, Whatley Drive is in a superb location for those who want to live in the countryside but might also have to commute.

A short walk from the railway station, regular trains leave for Taunton and Reading with London just one hour away.

It is also a great place to bring up a family as it is also within walking distance of the village centre with its shops and close to Pewsey’s outstanding state and private schools.

A picturesque riverside walk forms one boundary of the development, which will also include a Heritage Centre that captures the history of Pewsey with its wharf on the Kennet and Avon Canal.

Lorraine Kendrick, Marketing and Sales Manager at Redcliffe said: “We’re delighted to be opening this fantastic new view home. Whatley Drive has a number of attributes that sets it apart from anything else in the area including the wide selection of property styles and its location.

“Its opening will really give anyone thinking of moving to the area, a great idea of what life would be like in this wonderful part of Wiltshire. This development has been carefully thought out over many years of planning and talks with the local authority to ensure that the mix and the look of new homes is just right.

“To have the team from Ambience Interiors there on the day is a real draw especially for those wanting some top tips on soft furnishings and decorating their home.

“And we all know house hunting can be hungry work so with Emily cooking a variety of sweet and savoury dishes alongside Chrissy and his caricatures it has potential to be a really enjoyable event..”

Prices at the development range from £159,950 to £475,000. The new view home will open at 11am to 3pm on Sunday 28 April.
