Get set for summer says Barratt
Barratt North East is inviting homebuyers to get set for summer with special events over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
The housebuilder is rolling out the red carpet at developments across County Durham.
There are superb showhomes to view and helpful deals on offer, including the new Help to Buy scheme and the Barratt part exchange service.
And anyone reserving their new home over the weekend will receive vouchers to spend on garden furniture or a barbecue.
The housebuilder will be welcoming visitors to Beechwood, Sacriston; Berry Edge, Consett; Burton Woods, Spennymoor; and The Limes at Coxhoe, and is also unveiling three showhomes at its latest development, Merrington Park in Spennymoor.
Staff will be on hand at all developments to explain the new Help to Buy scheme. This offers eligible buyers the opportunity to buy their new home with just a 5 per cent deposit and 75 per cent mortgage, with the Government providing a loan for the remaining 20 per cent.
The scheme makes a new-build home even more affordable. As well as needing only a low deposit, buyers can also access low cost mortgage finance – and there is no interest payable for the first five years on the Government loan.
Help to Buy brings the move-in price of a three bedroom ‘Barwick’ home at Merrington Park down from £144,500 to £115,600 – with the buyer needing a deposit of just £5,780.
The ‘Barwick’ has an open-plan living and dining room with French windows, a good-sized kitchen and master bedroom with en suite.
“Help to Buy has sparked a great deal of interest and is already generating lots of inquiries,” said Fenton Hewitt, Sales Director at Barratt North East.
