Savvy Bedfordshire property-seekers are being urged not to miss the final opportunities to snap up a stunning new home for less at Taylor Wimpey’s Heath Meadows in Leighton Buzzard.

The last selection of high-quality properties is now on sale at this fast-selling development – and these impressive homes are not expected to be on offer for long now that the Government’s new Help to Buy shared equity scheme has been made available at the development.

Help to Buy enables eligible homebuyers to secure any new-build property priced under £600,000 for just 80% of its full price – including a 5% deposit. It is available to both first-time buyers and existing homeowners, and there is no salary cap for customers taking advantage of the scheme.

At Heath Meadows, an impressive four-bedroom ‘Heather’ townhouse, for example, can be purchased through Help to Buy for 80% of its full £210,000 price – that’s just £168,000, including a 5% deposit of only £10,500.

Christine Scarborough, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The Help to Buy scheme will make a huge difference to a range of would-be homebuyers who can afford the monthly mortgage repayments on a new property, but not the hefty deposit.

“We’ve been receiving a great deal of interest in this exciting initiative since its launch at the beginning of April, so anyone hoping to secure one of the final new homes at Heath Meadows for 80% of their full price should contact us without delay.”

Alongside the ‘Heather’ housetype, the last selection of impressive four-bedroom homes on sale at Heath Meadows includes the detached Plot 60 ‘Foxglove’, priced at £249,950 (80% price of £199,960 under Help to Buy), and the detached Plot 59 ‘Jasmine’, priced at £259,950 (Help to Buy price of £207,960).

Ideal for growing families in search of extra space, the ‘Jasmine’ benefits from a spacious lounge opening through double doors to a separate dining room, a kitchen/breakfast room with access to the private rear garden, and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, three further well-proportioned bedrooms and a main bathroom, with an integral garage and driveway parking located outside.

All new homes at Heath Meadows are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

The Government-backed NewBuy scheme is also available at the development, offering credit-worthy purchasers the opportunity to secure their ideal home with a 95% mortgage and a 5% deposit.

Heath Meadows occupies a convenient location in Leighton Buzzard, and is well served by local amenities, including a nursery and schools for children of all ages. Just two miles from the town centre, it is situated within easy reach of a wide selection of high street and independent stores, a twice-weekly market and a wealth of pubs, restaurants, health clubs and leisure facilities.

Quick links to London make the development highly desirable for commuters, with the A5 and M1 close by and the town’s railway station offering regular services to the capital and the north, while Luton Airport is only 18 miles away.

Homebuyers hoping to take advantage of Help to Buy at Heath Meadows can visit the Sales Information Centre, located off Churchill Road, Leighton Buzzard, and open from 10am to 5.30pm, Tuesday to Sunday, and from 2pm to 5.30pm on Mondays. Alternatively, log on to taylorwimpey.co.uk/norththames.
