House hunters in Pewsey, Wiltshire looking to either downsize or get on the first rung of the property ladder are being advised to take a look at the village’s newest property development.

Called Whatley Drive, it includes six apartments that are perfect for first time buyers or those who perhaps want something that’s a little more manageable.

The development is being built by Redcliffe Homes and comprises 43 properties in a unique mix of 25 different home styles, ranging from the one-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom detached houses.

But it’s the availability of these apartments that has already attracted considerable interest from those looking to make that first move or who are thinking about selling the family home.

With the flooring included, stamp duty paid and Redcliffe Homes’ reputation to build exclusive architect-designed homes, the sales team isn’t expecting these apartments to be on the market for too long.

Lorraine Kendrick, Marketing and Sales Manager at Redcliffe Homes said: “With new properties for first time buyers across the area in short supply and those looking for the right starter home finding it increasingly difficult to get what they want, these apartments fit the bill perfectly.

“Equally, anyone wanting to downsize in the area will find these apartments ideal. Whether it’s to release some equity, reduce running costs or for a change of scene these six properties are perfect for those looking to downsize.”

Next to the River Avon, Whatley Drive is in the heart of Pewsey which is located in the heart of Wiltshire and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A short walk from the railway station, regular trains leave for Taunton and Reading with London just one hour away.

A picturesque riverside walk forms one boundary of the development, which will also include a Heritage Centre that captures the history of Pewsey with its wharf on the Kennet and Avon Canal.

With prices ranging from £159,950 to £465,000 there has been strong interest with a number of reservations on some of the homes taking shape.
