Help for buyers in Great Wyrley

Even more people can now save thousands of pounds off the initial price of a brand new home in Great Wyrley.

First time buyers have already seized the opportunity to take out equity loans to cut the cost of owning a home at Oakwood Grange and following the introduction of Help to Buy other groups of purchasers could find that their money goes further.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), explains: “Help to Buy works in much the same way as its predecessor FirstBuy in that it offers customers the chance to take out an equity loan for up to 20% of the price of a brand new home. The difference is that this new scheme isn’t just for first time buyers but can be used by other purchasers such as families in need of extra space. We’re continuing to receive lots of enquiries from those who recognise that the Government is offering a fantastic opportunity with Help to Buy and we’re working with them to make their dream move a reality.”

Current availability at Oakwood Grange includes a choice of three and four-bedroom homes with prices from £179,995.

A four-bedroom Cambridge style property is now ‘build complete’ and almost ready to move into from £249,995 or an initial outlay of £199,996 with Help to Buy. The Help to Buy price is made up of a 5% deposit from the customer of £12,500 and a mortgage of £187,496, which amounts to 75% of the property’s full value. The remaining share is covered by an equity loan, which is interest free for five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or when they resell.

At the heart of the Cambridge is an open plan kitchen, dining area and family room. The light and airy nature of this inviting, sociable space is emphasised by French doors that offer lots of natural light and easy access to the rear garden.

For quieter moments or more formal entertaining, there’s a separate lounge to the front of the property.

A utility and cloakroom complete the ground floor.

Upstairs, the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite, with the remaining three bedrooms sharing the family bathroom.

Despite the low price with Help to Buy, those who purchase a property in this way will still benefit from owning a home with Redrow’s high specification as standard.

Located in Walsall Road, close to Cannock town centre, Oakwood Grange enjoys easy access to the M6, A5 and A34 and is well placed for commuting to Walsall and Wolverhampton.
