The latest phase of homes at Barratt North East’s popular Burton Woods development in Spennymoor should appeal to growing families looking for more space.

The three and four bedroom detached houses are from the housebuilder’s new County Range and incorporate light and spacious interiors for comfortable, modern living.

Features include redesigned kitchens with integrated dining and family areas, floor-to-ceiling glazed bays to maximise natural light, and higher specification bathrooms and en suites.

Buyers could need just a five per cent deposit, thanks to the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.

Barratt is also offering its 7-day part exchange service for those with a property to sell.

Sales Director Fenton Hewitt said: “Our new County Range homes are proving a great success with buyers across the region.

“As well as providing versatile living spaces, they are also around 40 per cent more energy efficient than homes built just ten years ago.”

He added: “There is no doubt that the new Help to Buy initiative is giving a real boost to buyers in County Durham and is generating lots of inquiries.

“We think that interest will continue to grow as people realise they can not only buy with a significantly lower deposit than they might have expected, but also access low cost mortgage finance.

“The scheme offers a great opportunity, for existing homeowners as well as first-time buyers.”

County Range homes currently released for sale at Burton Woods include two four bedroom designs.

The ‘Somerton’, priced from £210,000, has a superb open-plan kitchen and dining room with a glazed bay leading out into the garden.

The ‘Guisborough’, priced from £224,000, is a beautifully-presented family home with four double bedrooms in more than 1,200 sq ft of living space.

Burton Woods is in a superb setting on Whitworth Road, with a sweeping private entrance road, open spaces and an adjacent wildlife “bio-park”, yet with plenty of amenities nearby.

There are four showhomes open daily from 10.00am to 5.00pm (11.00am to 6.00pm Monday). For more information, visit barratthomes.co.uk/burtonwoods.
