Much-needed new homes for the whole community are coming together at Taylor Wimpey’s Copt Oak Gardens development in Leicestershire.

The leading housebuilder has now exchanged contracts with East Midlands Housing Association for 18 affordable homes at this popular new homes development in the peaceful village of Narborough.

Three of the properties are already complete and ready to move into, while the remaining 15 are under construction.

All of the affordable homes are designed to help local residents get a new start who would otherwise not be able to afford to purchase their first home in Narborough. The rented homes will be managed on behalf of EMHA by the local Blaby based Three Oaks Homes (TOH).

Dominic Harman, Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: “We’re delighted to have exchanged contracts with East Midlands Housing Association on this superb collection of high-quality affordable properties, which will provide much-needed housing for all sectors of the local community and to help local people get a foothold on the property ladder.

“These beautiful new homes at Copt Oak Gardens will make purchasing a home in the area a reality for buyers, but also help to create an inclusive community within a woodland setting on land that had previously lain derelict for some considerable time.”

Jim Patman, Development Director for East Midlands Housing, says: “It’s great that these high quality affordable homes have been built to meet local needs. There is a growing need for such homes and it is has only been possible as a result of the solid partnership between Taylor Wimpey, EMHA and Blaby D.C.”

The affordable homes for rent and sale at Copt Oak Gardens include a choice of coach house-style apartments, terraced homes and three-storey townhouses.

Alternatively, there’s a stunning selection of private four and five-bedroom houses available to reserve now at the development, with prices starting from just £289,995.

The Government’s new Help to Buy shared equity scheme is also available now at the development, enabling first-time buyers and those looking to move home to purchase their new property for 80% of its full price, including a 5% deposit.

The NewBuy initiative, meanwhile, gives credit-worthy purchasers in a variety of circumstances the chance to access their ideal home with a 95% mortgage.

Properties at Copt Oak Gardens have been carefully designed using materials which reflect the traditional architecture of this delightful corner of rural Leicestershire.

Within easy reach of the new homes is the bustling village centre of Narborough, which boasts pubs, restaurants, takeaways, two supermarkets, a bakery, primary schools, two doctors’ surgeries, banks, a chemist, a post office and a private gym.

What’s more, the vibrant city centre of Leicester is just six miles from Copt Oak Gardens, offering even wider leisure, shopping and entertainment opportunities.

The village enjoys a convenient location near the M1 and M69 motorways, making the new homes perfect for commuters travelling to Leicester, Coventry or further afield. Narborough railway station provides direct services to Leicester within 10 minutes and Birmingham New Street in less than an hour.

Those interested in purchasing a brand new home from Taylor Wimpey should visit Copt Oak Gardens Sales Centre, located in Forest Road, Narborough, LE19 3FJ, which is open from 10.30am to 5.30pm, seven days a week. Alternatively, log on to taylorwimpey.co.uk/eastmids.
