Demand for spacious family homes in Leicestershire is reaching new heights, with Miller Homes East Midlands selling an entire new batch of properties in just seven weeks.

The award-winning housebuilder released six new four and five-bedroom homes at its popular Stretton Glen development in Great Glen following a surge in customer enquiries. Whilst the team anticipated a lot of interest, the sales rate has taken everyone by surprise.

“This really does demonstrate an increasing confidence in the market,” commented Paul Walters, associate director at Miller Homes East Midlands.

“Our whole ethos is about meeting the needs of the buyer and this is exactly what we have done at Stretton Glen.

“If you offer something that the customer wants and team that with value for money and flexible purchase options, then people are more than willing to make a move and it is great to see.

“Each of the six homes has been sold off-plan, showing that current buyers are keen to see their new home taking shape and work with us to add those extra interior details to create a luxury and personalised dream home.”

The release of the properties, which included the four bedroom Stevenson and Wells type homes, as well as the five-bedroom Rosebury was highly anticipated by a number of buyers looking to move to Great Glen to benefit from its community feel, exceptional schools and rural location. One family even resorted to camping in the car park of Stretton Glen 27 hours before the properties were placed on the market to ensure they were first in line.

“Stretton Glen is one of those developments that has surpassed expectation,” added Paul. “In the coming months we will be announcing details of phase two of the development, bringing a whole new selection of homes to the area. Until then, there are still a limited number of opportunities to purchase a property at the development, but with current interest levels so high, we do not think they will be around for long.”

Amongst the remaining properties is the three-bedroom Auden. With prices starting from £240,000, it features a master bedroom with both en-suite and dressing area, a bay window in the spacious lounge looking out onto the garden, and a separate study.

The Auden is also available as part of the new Help to Buy scheme. The initiative allows buyers to purchase a property with only a 5% deposit and helps to fund up to 20% of the purchase price in the form of an equity loan.

Other developments from Miller Homes East Midlands in Leicestershire include the newly launched Brookfields in Sileby and Weavers Court in Castle Donington, as well as Lakeside Country Park in Hamilton.
