Taylor Wimpey’s hotly anticipated Millfields development in Darlington, has seen an incredible start despite only opening three weeks ago.

Millfields recently opened the doors for prospective buyers and the innovative, contemporary designs have already proven a hit with house-hunters, with sales already taken since the opening day, a number of Part Exchange applications and enquiries on the latest Help to Buy scheme.

Debbie Whittingham, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire explained: “There has been significant interest in Millfields since we announced plans to build; and these early signs underline the buying demand in the area and the need for competitive financial schemes.

“The interest in Part Exchange, and in particular Help to Buy, has driven tremendous daily footfall so we’re excited to see how the development will progress.”

The latest government-backed Help to Buy scheme allows both first-time buyers and existing home-owners the chance to secure a brand-new home worth up to the value of £600k with just a five per cent deposit. Eligible purchasers also benefit from a 20 per cent government loan giving the buyer a 75 per cent loan-to-value mortgage.

Debbie concluded: “The homes at Millfields are truly unique and with growing interest, I’d recommend anyone keen on buying in the area to get in touch.

“Our Bisham and Alderton show homes are due later in the year but further details are available on-site, as well as information on the financial incentives.”

Millfields features a range of two, three and four bedroom designs with home prices starting at just £119,950.
