American Express Platinum Cashback Everyday Credit Card

American Express has reintroduced its popular Platinum Cashback Everyday Credit Card. Aimed at new customers who want to benefit from a generous annual fee-free cashback deal, the Card offers 5 per cent cashback on up to £2,000 of spending within the first three months (up to a maximum of £100 cashback.)
 
Competitive tiered cashback rates of between 0.5 per cent and 1.25 per cent then immediately apply to purchases dependent on spend levels. There is no restriction on the type and number of purchases that attract cashback or the cashback amount earned after the introductory period ends.
 
Recent American Express research highlights that for nearly two thirds (63 per cent) of adults, the rewards offered on credit and charge cards are seen as an important factor when deciding which plastic to go for. In addition, nearly four in 10 (37 per cent) of those who have a reward based credit or charge card opted to earn cashback in the last year.
