350 modern classic show trucks rev up for the Retro Truck Show

The popular Retro Truck Show returns for a third year to the Heritage Motor Centre on Sunday 15 September. The show, which features a fantastic collection of modern classic trucks manufactured between 1960 and 2000, is arranged by enthusiasts for enthusiasts.

This year’s show has an expected display of 350 of the best modern classic show trucks in the UK including manufacturers Volvo, Scania and Daf. All trucks of any age are welcome whether they are show trucks, working trucks or work in progress! There will also be an indoor model show and a trade area plus a larger radio control section within the main Conference rooms upstairs in the Museum.

On Sunday, in addition to the Show itself, entry includes admission to the Museum which houses a superb display of over 180 historic British cars. For those wanting to make a weekend of it camping is available. On the Saturday evening there is a disco and charity auction with all proceeds going to various charities. In addition there will be trade stands, displays, food stands, a licensed bar and free children’s bouncy castle.

Tom Caren, Show Manager for the Heritage Motor Centre stated “We are delighted to be hosting this fantastic Show which is such a colourful event and a real memory jerker within the world of trucks. We would encourage even those that don’t own a truck to come along and join in all the ‘truck’ fun! With entry to the Museum included on the Sunday, the Show is a great value day out for all the family”.

Tickets for the show cost £12 in advance or £15 on the day for adults, £5 in advance or £8 on the day for children and £34 in advance or £42 on the day for a family. Gift Aid Season tickets, Tesco Club cards or any other promotional offers are not valid on Sunday 15 September. Parking for the public will be at the Jaguar and Land Rover car park next door to the Museum grounds with a 1950?s Daimler Double Decker bus providing a shuttle service.
