Taylor Wimpey is reporting surging early stage interest at its Signet Grange development with more than 10 off-plan reservations confirmed prior to the launch of show homes in August.

The 158 home scheme in Houghton Le Spring offers buyers a superb mix of two, three and four bedroom properties with prices starting from just £154,995.

Joan Peart, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey said: “Signet Grange is a fabulous development that will be extremely attractive to couples, first time buyers and families seeking spacious homes. It encompasses the best of stylish, modern living in the pleasant outskirts of Houghton Le Spring.

“The off-plan sales are an excellent indication of healthy local demand which we project to rise when we open our stunning new show homes which will give buyers a real taste for life at Signet Grange.”

The government backed Help to Buy initiative enables eligible purchasers to reserve a brand new home with just five per cent deposit. Thanks to a government loan of up to 20 per cent, buyers then only need to secure a 75 per cent loan to value mortgage.

“Help to Buy is perfect for the local market and will enable buyers to launch themselves into sizeable brand new properties without breaking the bank for a deposit.”

Joan concludes: “Given the popularity of the location and levels of early stage interest, I would encourage prospective buyers in the area to book an appointment to come and find out more about this exciting development.”
