The family owned Marti Hotel Group is delighted to announce the opening of the brand new Spa Centre at their stunning boutique property, Marti Hemithea in Hisarönü Bay, Marmaris, Turkey.
This luxury hotel, which itself opened in May 2012, was named after the goddess Hemithea, who according to Greek mythology has bestowed health, beauty and tranquility upon the people of Bybassos in Hisarönü, also known as the health centre of the ancient world. Today this ancient tradition is continued by Marti Hemithea with the opening of the new boutique Spa Centre this summer, with its healing atmosphere, expert therapists and state-of-the-art amenities.
With a beautiful setting on the turquoise Aegean waters of Hisarönü Bay in South-West Turkey, the 250sqm Spa Centre is nestled next to the coast overlooking the prestigious Marti Marina & Yacht Club. Designed by international award-winning architect Kaan Çetinkayaand his team at Istanbul-based Space Architects & Designers, the Spa Centre combines both modern and ancient Greek architectural influences to create a harmonious space linked to the area’s mythological history with a modern edge.
These tranquil spaces have been created with the historic fabric and the natural assets of the area. Hemithea, a semi-goddess who was believed to have distributed healing water out of a fountain on the grounds of the hotel, is a major inspiration for the hotel’s interior design, spa and its overall concept. The hotel combines hi-tech details with materials reminiscent of the area’s history.
Treatments from Turkish brand Life Spa & Wellness include a wide range of massage, from aromatherapy and healing stones to the sumptuous-sounding hot chocolate massage, anti-cellulite treatments, paraffin baths, body masks and facial skin care treatments. Rituals such as Sultan Life (30 minute Turkish Bath Body Treatment – peel and traditional foam massage, 40 minute aromatherapy massage and a facial mask) and Cleopatra Life (15 minute Dead Sea Salt Peel, 20 minute Full Body Mud Mask, 20 minute Traditional Foam Massage, 40 minute Aromatherapy Massage and 30 minute Mini Facial Treatment) are guaranteed to send you straight to seventh heaven.
