Leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey is preparing to launch a brand new collection of contemporary apartments at its popular Papermill Lock development in St Neots.

The one, two and three-bedroom ‘Manor House’ apartments will offer young professionals, first-time buyers and downsizers a fantastic opportunity to secure their ideal property at this sought-after development in this picturesque part of Cambridgeshire.

Buyers can also benefit from the Government’s new Help To Buy shared equity scheme, which means purchasing their new home is far more affordable than they might anticipate – and all they need is a 5% deposit.

Caroline Carter, Regional Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We are very excited to be unveiling this fantastic collection of new ‘Manor House’ apartments, which offer stylish modern living in an unbeatable location at the heart of the development, next to a tranquil area of green open space.

“And with Help To Buy available at Papermill Lock, homebuyers will find securing their stunning new apartment is far more affordable than they might have expected.”

There is a range of one and two-bedroom apartments currently available at The Manor House, priced from as little as £125,995.

The two-bedroom ‘Cartwright’ apartment, for example, is priced from £149,995 and features an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room, an en-suite master bedroom, a further bedroom and a main bathroom. Outside, there’s allocated parking.

Under the Government’s Help To Buy scheme, eligible first-time buyers and those with a property to sell can secure their new home for 80% of its full price, including a 5% deposit.

Help To Buy involves a Government loan of up to 20% and is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for homebuyers taking advantage of the scheme.

Papermill Lock, built on the site of the Samuel Jones Paper Mill in an attractive setting next to the River Great Ouse, is situated in the quiet village of Little Paxton, on the outskirts of St Neots – a thriving Cambridgeshire town with a bustling weekly market, regular farmers’ markets and a wealth of open space, parkland and riverside walks.

St Neots is also a popular spot for commuters, with regular services from the town’s railway station putting London’s King’s Cross less than 40 minutes away, and the A1 for London and Peterborough, the A428 for Cambridge and the A14 for the Midlands and East Anglia all within easy reach.

To find out more about the ‘Manor House’ apartments coming soon to Papermill Lock, property-seekers can visit the Sales Centre, located off Samuel Jones Crescent, Little Paxton, St Neots, PE19 6QZ, and open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm (Mondays from 1.30pm to 5pm).
