Final five homes in Audenshaw

Two thirds of the properties have been sold at Elan’s popular Parklands development in Audenshaw, but homebuyers can still snap one up at a fraction of the price – even if they have a home of their own to sell.

Thanks to an equity loan from the Government for up to 20% of the cost, a selection of four-bedroom homes, just five miles from Manchester city centre, usually costing £249,995 are available for an initial outlay of just £199,995.

Help to Buy is open to both first time buyers and existing homeowners. Those who are yet to sell their current home could even secure a buyer quickly and simply using Elan’s Easy Move service.

Alternatively, customers could utilise part exchange, therefore eliminating any costly estate agent’s fees and lengthy chains.

Said Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North: “We have removed every obstacle homebuyers face when they want a new, stylish and energy saving home.

“If they want to climb on or up the property ladder but maybe they only have a 5% deposit, Help to Buy is ideal. And if they have a property to sell we can help them find a buyer using our Easy Move service and marketing it for them via a recommended estate agent. When the customer receives an acceptable offer they’ll be able to proceed with the purchase of their new home and can still use Help to Buy.

“Alternatively, those who don’t need the equity loan to boost their buying power but need help to sell their old home could find that part exchange provides the perfect solution.

“But the homes at Parklands have already proved very appealing with homebuyers, with 12 out of 17 sold, so we expect the remaining properties will build on that success.”

With Help to Buy, the Government provides an equity loan of 20% of the purchase price, which is interest free for five years. Buyers can repay it at any time during the duration of the mortgage or when the home is sold.

Young professionals are drawn to the development, thanks to the quality of the homes and their location, which makes them ideal for commuters. An excellent motorway network, and a Metrolink stop in nearby Droylsden, in addition to one due to open in Audenshaw later this year, have made the homes a hit with city workers.

Meanwhile families are delighted to learn that a primary school is on the doorstep for residents at Parklands, and the stunning countryside of Derbyshire is an easy car journey away.

The collection of four-bedroom homes at Parklands come complete with contemporary fitted kitchens, including a built-in oven and hob, in addition to eye-catching bathroom suites, with a choice of wall tiles.

The show homes at Parklands are open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
