New homes bring investment to Willenhall

Spring Walk, Taylor Wimpey’s major new homes development in Willenhall, is transforming a derelict industrial site into a sustainable community.

The leading housebuilder is constructing 112 homes on the land in Spring Lane, part of which was formerly a cardboard box factory, and the Spring Walk development will offer a mix of two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses.

In addition, 63 of the homes will be provided with renewable energy devices to meet the energy saving requirements of level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
Traffic calming measures are to be provided close to the development in Spring Lane in order to improve road safety.

The development will also bring additional investment to the local community through the New Homes Bonus initiative. Under this scheme, the Government match-funds the council tax raised from the building of each of the development’s 112 new homes, with the money provided directly to the local authority.

Both Walsall and Wolverhampton boast busy shopping areas with a range of department stores and high street shops, while the shopping, bars and restaurants of Birmingham city centre are within easy reach.
