Sales staff at Glen Grange, Larkfleet Homes’ housing development in Pinchbeck, took four property reservations from eager homebuyers in just a few days following a very successful Valentine’s weekend promotion.

Larkfleet offered a free bottle of bubbly or a box of chocolates as an incentive for homebuyers to visit its Glen Grange site over Valentine’s weekend (14-16 February). The promotion also celebrated the opening of a new showhome on site.

However, it was Larkfleet’s equity share scheme that was the real hit with visitors, with all four homebuyers that reserved a home with the Glen Grange sales team benefiting from this option.

Larkfleet offers the equity share scheme, which allows homebuyers to potentially own a new home but only pay 85 per cent of the total cost, to help first-time buyers onto the housing ladder.

Larkfleet pays the remaining 15 per cent and homebuyers have five or ten years to pay back the amount Larkfleet contributed towards the cost of the property. No interest is added to the amount homebuyers have borrowed from Larkfleet during this five or ten year period and the property can be sold at any time.

The equity-share scheme is perfect for young couples who are looking to purchase their very own home but can’t quite afford the full purchase price. It is also available to growing families who are looking to take the next step on the property ladder.

Larkfleet previously built 33 homes as part of the first phase of Glen Grange, providing buyers with quality new homes at affordable prices. It is now constructing 35 additional two and three-bedroom homes on site as phase two of the development.

Karl Hick, CEO of Larkfleet Homes, said: “I am delighted that the sales team at Glen Grange took so many reservations during this particular promotion and this success is a testament to their hard work. The fact that properties are being snapped up so quickly at Glen Grange shows just how popular the development is with local homebuyers, as well as highlighting the demand for quality new housing in the local area.

“There is a real buzz around the Glen Grange development and Larkfleet is proud to be helping so many first time buyers get that all important first step onto the housing ladder.”

Solar photovoltatic (PV) panels which will produce electricity from daylight, generating useable power even on cloudy days, will be fitted to all properties. Larkfleet homeowners at Glen Grange will therefore benefit from reduced electricity bills for years to come by using the energy which the panels generate and also create an income from selling excess power back to the grid.

The second phase of Glen Grange is not only allowing first-time buyers a chance to get a foot on the property ladder but is also providing local jobs as Larkfleet is utilising local labour and product supply chains.

Pinchbeck offers homebuyers all the relaxing aspects of village life and the benefits of good transport links to surrounding towns and cities. Pinchbeck has easy road access to Spalding, Bourne and Boston and good train links mean that the thriving city of Peterborough is only a short journey from Spalding.
