Leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey is investing £366,000 in the local community as part of its new homes development in Wychbold, Worcestershire.

Jasmine Gardens is a stylish selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes, all constructed to achieve Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, with a superb tree-lined location close to all the amenities of this attractive village.

The development includes 28 affordable homes for rent, shared ownership and low-cost housing, giving local residents and key workers the opportunity to enjoy life in a brand new property within their own community.

Taylor Wimpey’s investment also includes financial contributions totalling £366,000, with £158,000 towards off-site community facilities, £85,000 towards education, £72,000 towards leisure, £24,000 towards cycling, £19,000 towards transport, plus £5,000 for public art and £3,000 for recycling.

Anne Wallace, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “This investment in the local community reflects our belief that building a new homes development is about more than just providing high-quality properties for people to live in – it is about giving homebuyers the chance to be part of a thriving community.

“Our contributions totalling £366,000 will benefit local people – young and old – as well as the new residents at Jasmine Gardens in ways which will be felt for years to come. This is part of Taylor Wimpey’s commitment to the future of the communities we build.”

There’s a superb selection of new homes currently available to reserve at Jasmine Gardens, including three-bedroom houses from £234,995 and four-bedroom properties from £274,995.

Potential purchasers can enjoy a tantalising glimpse of the life they could be enjoying at Jasmine Gardens by visiting the stunning four-bedroom ‘Shelford’ showhome, which is now open.

The Help to Buy equity loan scheme is available at the development, enabling eligible first-time buyers and those with a property to sell to secure a Government loan of up to 20% of their new home’s full price – so they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

Wychbold is home to a post office, a convenience store, a pub, a filling station, a hotel, a community centre, sports pitches and a children’s play area, plus Webbs of Wychbold garden centre just to the north of the village. Wychbold First and Nursery School caters for children aged three to nine years old, and was rated ‘good’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection.

Meanwhile, a wider range of shops, leisure and entertainment opportunities, as well as schools for older children, can be found two miles away in Droitwich Spa, and in Bromsgrove, which is around three miles from home.

Commuters will appreciate Wychbold’s close proximity to junction 5 of the M5, for quick links to the M42, Worcester and Birmingham, while bus services between Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove, and between Birmingham and Worcester, stop close to the development.

The Jasmine Gardens Sales Centre is located off Worcester Road, Wychbold, WR9 7PE, and open Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm. Alternatively, visiting taylorwimpey.co.uk.
