Ty Mawr is luxurious self catering

Rare Hideaways, Wales’ collection of self-catering accommodation to be found the length and breadth of the country, has just added two more gems to the collection - the Ty Mawr Collection, located in the Brecon Beacons National Park and Hunter Lodges, luxurious, four-bedroomed properties in the grounds of the World famous Celtic Manor golf resort.

The Ty Mawr Collection is comprised of five properties – sleeping from two to four people – which surround the courtyard of a manorial estate and dating back to medieval times; each has been renovated with no expense spared and such is the standard of décor and furnishings that you might be forgiven for thinking you are in the best suite of a five star hotel.

The kitchens are packed with the latest must-have appliances and other notable features include flagstone floors with underfloor heating, wood burning stoves (and unlimited logs), bathrooms with bathrobes and deluxe toiletries by Anne Semonin and private terraces complete with stylish garden furniture.

Although set in a rural location, Ty Mawr – which is also pet friendly – is within a short drive of castles and walks, fine dining restaurants and inns, and festival towns including Abergavenny, Hay-on-Wye and Brecon.

A week’s rental in a one bedroomed property costs from £555.

Hunter Lodges are nestled in peaceful tranquillity within the estate of the world-famous Celtic Manor golf and spa resort, located in the Usk Valley of south Wales.

Each of the properties – which have views over the golf course and beyond across the Usk Valley - have been individually designed and furnished and have over 4,000sq feet of luxurious space.

The lodges – which have four en-suite bedrooms – have an open plan space on the ground floor, designed for entertaining, relaxing and dining, whilst a separate cosy chill-out room is the perfect place for family play time.

Other features include a sauna and outdoor hot tub and guests are free to play the various golf courses on the estate and to use the restaurant, spa and other facilities available at the Celtic Manor Hotel.

A week’s rental costs from £3150 based on eight people sharing.
