Townhouses have been proving their perennial popularity at Aura in Cambridge, where Countryside has just released a new phase of three bedroom townhouses. The property market in Cambridge has performed strongly this year in general - homes in the city have sold faster than any other UK city, taking only 27 days on average to be marked as sold, according to Rightmove. Townhouse style properties attract particular demand and the homes at Aura have sold quickly thanks to the scheme’s fantastic location, high quality design and attractive setting.

Andrew Loveday, Sales and Marketing Director for Countryside comments: “Townhouses are a fabulous choice for those who want stylish and flexible living space with an urban edge. The Aura townhouses have been attracting a mix of buyers including families, downsizers and professionals. It comes as no surprise that Cambridge tops the list of fastest selling property, with the University and big businesses investing in the city there is always strong buyer demand. Aura is ideally positioned on the favoured south side of the city and we have no doubt that the new phase of townhouses will continue to sell well.”

The newly released three-bedroom townhouses are of ‘The Byron’ house type, which is arranged over three floors providing over 1,440 sq ft of living space. A spacious open plan living / dining / kitchen area and cloakroom occupy the whole of the first floor. On the second floor are the master bedroom with en suite, two further good sized bedrooms and a luxurious family bathroom. The ground floor provides a very useful storage and utility area, as well as an integral gated carport with space for two cars.
As would be expected, these luxury homes are completed to an excellent standard with a high quality specification. The contemporary fitted kitchens feature gloss white handleless units with complementing white composite stone worktop and a full range of energy efficient, integrated appliances. The sleek bathrooms have stylish white sanitaryware with chrome accessories and harmonising cream floor and wall tiles.

Aura is located on Long Road, one of the most prestigious addresses in Cambridge and surrounded on two sides by mature woodland to make for a beautiful, green setting. The contemporary designed properties are linked together through a network of pedestrian routes set within extensive landscaping, communal green spaces and tree lined boulevards. Each home has been designed to make the most of natural daylight and views to the adjoining countryside.
Conveniently situated just over a mile from the train station, it is an easy journey from Aura into central London, as well as being close to a range of excellent schools including The Perse School, one of the UK’s top independent schools. Aura will have access to all the facilities of Great Kneighton, which includes an extensive range of proposed new amenities such as shops, community facilities, a 120-acre Country Park and new schools. With Cambridge city centre approximately 2 miles away, Aura offers the sense of a familiar townscape yet on the edge of the countryside.

Residents are within easy reach of the city centre with the Cambridge Guided Bus stopping just moments away and offering regular services to the city, train station, Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the science park. A foot / cycle path running alongside the guided bus route provides an alternative travel option into the city. Cambridge train station offers fast and frequent links to London in as little as 53 minutes. Access to the nearby road network couldn’t be better, with junction 11 of the M11 only minutes away, offering a convenient route to Stansted airport in approximately 35 minutes.

The three-bedroom ‘The Byron’ townhouses start from £695,000. For further information or to register your interest in the houses and apartments at Aura, visit auracambridge.co.uk.
