Chestnut Homes has returned to Coningsby, Lincolnshire, to start work on 66 new homes in the second phase of its Kings Manor development.

Planning consent was secured for the two, three and four-bedroom homes in April. Work is now underway and the first homes will be released for sale in November.

Chestnut Homes built the first 68 homes at Kings Manor between 2007 and 2012. The development, off Old Boston Road, became one of the company’s most popular, selling steadily throughout the last recession.

Managing Director David Newton said: “We are delighted to be back in Coningsby. Kings Manor was a very successful development for Chestnut Homes and we’re sure the second phase will be just as successful.

“Coningsby is a fine example of a thriving traditional Lincolnshire village. With good schools, shops, doctors, dentists and many more community facilities all on the doorstep, it’s no surprise the village is such a popular place to live. It appeals to first-time buyers, families, people looking to downsize and others seeking a more relaxed way of life in rural Lincolnshire.

“Chestnut Homes has been building in Lincolnshire for more than 25 years. We understand that new homes need to fit seamlessly with their surroundings and we design every development with that in mind.

“Homes at Kings Manor Phase 2 will combine traditional building methods with flexible solutions for modern living to cater for buyers across the spectrum.”

Kings Manor Phase 2 is being supported by the government’s Get Britain Building funding to address the need for new homes within East Lindsey and across the country.

Chestnut Homes will build 17 affordable homes for local people as part of its commitment to the community, as well as investing £112,000 in education.

The Government’s Help to Buy scheme will be available at the development. It enables purchasers to secure a new home with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided by the Government as an equity loan which is interest-free for five years.

Chestnut Homes has been building quality homes throughout Lincolnshire since 1988. Based in Langworth, the firm employs 60 people across the county and supports hundreds of contractor jobs in addition.
