Award-winning developer Waters Homes has announced plans for a unique new development in Nottinghamshire.

A total of eight new properties will be built on 0.75 acres of land on Main Street in the village of Aslockton.

The site was previously home to The Old Greyhound Inn, which included a number of Grade 2 Listed features, such as a lead covered serving counter and several stalls in the separate stable block. In order to keep these intact, they will be built in to the interior of some of the new properties, creating highly original features.

Properties on the development will include six four-bedroom new build family homes and two three and four-bedroom barn conversions, giving existing buildings on the site a new lease of life.

Each of properties has been sympathetically designed to reflect the Conservation Area status of the historic core of the village where the development is based. The interiors have been designed with modern family living in mind and include open plan kitchen and dining spaces, family rooms, separate snug areas and bi-fold doors to the gardens.

As Dominic Waters, development director at Waters Homes explains, this is an opportunity to purchase a very unique home in a hugely desirable location:

“This is our first development in Aslockton, but it was an easy choice. Its rural setting and easy access to Nottingham, Grantham, Leicester and the nearby market town of Bingham, is a winning combination. Couple this with fantastic schools and it’s easy to see why so many families want to set up home here.

“With so much confidence in the housing market, now is the right time to build this kind of exclusive development. Each property will be unique and bursting with character.

“Some of our lucky buyer will even have their own little piece of history built into their home with the original pub features. It’s a definite talking point.”
