Romance your loved one in the beautiful and romantic setting of Shakespeare’s England on Valentine’s Day. Book into a luxury country house hotel or stay in a 4 poster tower suite at Warwick Castle, enjoy champagne teas, sonnets and love scenes, wander around snowdrop gardens, stroll along picturesque streets or simply relax over a romantic candle-lit dinner in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Be Romeo (or Juliet) for the day at Shakespeare’s Birthplace and act out the balcony scene from the world’s most famous love story. For a real fairy-tale experience, couples can stay in the magnificent Tower Suites and be ‘King and Queen of the Castle’ for a night. The stay even includes a private expert-led tour, so guests can fully appreciate the history of the Castle.

Take part in a stone-carving adult workshop at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum and learn how to sculpt a gargoyle for the one you love. Spend the evening on a walking tour with Tudor World’s William Shakespeare or join Dashing Jack for an evening ghost walk of the town on Friday 13 February. Enjoy a Snowdrop weekend on 14 & 15 February at Hill Close Gardens when the restored Victorian gardens and historic summerhouses open to welcome the first signs of spring. The Snowdrops can be seen in two borders, one filled with Victorian varieties and the other with modern varieties including the 'Warwickshire Gemini'. Enjoy a delicious dinner in the Rooftop Restaurant at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre which boasts stunning panoramic views of Shakespeare's home town.

Or enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner at The One Elm in Stratford-upon-Avon on 13 & 14 February. Head Chef Leon has created a divine menu of sharing dishes. Whisper sweet romance over a glass of bubbles, then retire into the snug and sit by the roaring fire.

Those wanting a romantic setting can enjoy a candlelit dinner at Hogarths for £34 per person with the resident pianist on the 13 February and saxophonist, singer and dancing on the 14 February.
