Thanks to its success as one of the largest residential regeneration schemes in London, there are only a selection of one and two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom überhaus remaining at Liberty Quarter, the current phase at Acton Gardens in West London. This spring will also see the launch of the next phase of new homes, known as the Station Square Apartments, which are conveniently located for commuters within a short walk of South Acton overground station.

Acton Gardens is the exciting £600m regeneration in Acton where a vibrant new urban quarter is being established. It is already becoming a highly attractive place to live, transforming the local area and integrating with its desirable West London surroundings, yet with a style and character of its own. The 52-acre site will eventually offer 2,500 new homes, with 50% affordable housing and a large proportion of family sized accommodation, along with enhanced transport links, retail and community facilities and extensive public open spaces to create a model for 21st century urban living.

Mike Woolliscroft, Director for Countryside comments: “The success of the scheme to date means that there are only a select number of properties remaining in the current phase at Liberty Quarter. These opportunities include the last three and four bedroom uberhaus, which offer generous accommodation over two floors with large external terraces and some with private gardens. This spring will see the exciting launch of the next phase at Acton Gardens, the Station Square Apartments, which will offer a further 124 one, two and three bedroom apartments, many with a view across London and neighbouring Chiswick.”

Mike continues: “This is just the beginning of the success story for Acton Gardens - those who are buying now are making a sound investment in the future. The development is set to continue to mature substantially over the coming years with three more phases due to be in construction by the end of the year. This is a highly sought after West London location which until now has not achieved its potential. We have the vision to transform this site with stunning architecture and community led design that will improve the quality of life across a wider area.”

Countryside and L&Q have chosen a series of world renowned architects and designers to create the striking architecture of Acton Gardens, lending individual creativity to each phase to create homes that residents are proud of. Phase 2 at Liberty Quarter is designed by Alison Brooks, a winner of the RIBA Stirling Prize, who has produced a bold and impressive design with a focus on sustainability. Two ‘L-shaped’ buildings create sheltered courtyards and landscaped central podium gardens for residents’ private use. Occupying the prime wings of Liberty Quarter, the exclusive überhaus collection takes style and sophistication to new levels with design that features split levels, private street level entrances, generous outside space and floor to ceiling windows for a guaranteed wow factor.

All of the homes offer spacious, flexible living spaces, complemented by sophisticated décor and superb interior finishes. Sleek contemporary kitchens include high quality integrated appliances and bathrooms have sparkling white sanitaryware with chrome finishes. The expansive glazing provides airy light-filled rooms and every property has its own private outside space in the form of a balcony, terrace or a private garden.

Eco features are incorporated to help reduce energy consumption including green roofs, solar panels and an energy centre to supply some of the heat and power, resulting in lower utility bills. The homes will achieve a minimum Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 offering low heating, power and water consumption. In addition, 10 per cent of properties are wheelchair adaptable.

The plans for Acton Gardens also include a range of amenities to provide for a thriving community. The new facilities will benefit the whole community and centre on The Hub, with 55,000 sq ft space for community use. This will also include a central plaza with a supermarket, public open space and other community facilities, helping to bring people of all age groups together.

Green open space plays a vital role at Acton Gardens, with tree lined streets designed around a series of parks, squares and communal gardens, featuring extensive landscaping, play areas and allotments. In a nod to the traditional appeal of London’s parks and squares, the outdoor spaces are designed to create social, lively places for people to relax and enjoy, where pedestrians have priority and community interaction is encouraged. Nearby, South Acton Park also provides a great urban park with mature trees lining the footpaths and a play area for children. The plans also include a proposed new bus route and street network linking with the surrounding area, as well as a car club for residents use.

Acton Gardens is conveniently located between five key rail connections, of which South Acton overground is the closest. Also within easy walking distance are Acton Town and Chiswick Point stations for the underground and Acton Main Line station, which will benefit hugely from its inclusion on the Crossrail line, bringing speedy new connections across the capital when it opens in 2018. Homes at Acton Gardens are perfectly poised to benefit from the uplift in values that this huge investment to London’s transport system will bring.

Designed and constructed in a series of phases, the first phase is now complete with people enjoying living in their new homes, and construction is well underway for second phase, Liberty Quarter, with occupation due in summer 2015. Launching this spring, phase 3.1, the Station Square Apartments will comprise 124 new homes due for occupation in spring 2017, whilst phase 3.2 will offer 116 properties delivered by winter 2016. Phase 4 is for 107 properties due for completion in 2017. A further four phases will then be delivered with overall completion currently expected in 2026.

Prices at Liberty Quarter start from £363,500 for a one bedroom apartment, £498,750 for a two bedroom apartment, £650,000 for a 3 bedroom duplex überhaus apartment and £850,000 for a 4 bedroom duplex uberhaus apartment. For further information on the forthcoming launch, visit actongardens.co.uk.
