As we enter the season of the golfer’s swing, with the Masters currently taking place and The Open launching on 12th July, the allure of a home near the clubhouse becomes harder to ignore, as besides the good investment potential, the leisurely lifestyle has significant appeal.

Golfers looking to buy a home close to one of Britain's top golf courses can expect to pay a premium of £95,000 (56%) compared to the national average house price, according to data from property website Primelocation.com. Teeing off with a fantastic opportunity for this summer, just in time for the golfing season, Millgate will launch a superb collection of new homes at Sundridge Park, located within the grounds of Sundridge Park Golf Club in Bromley, Kent, boasting two championship golf courses. According to Zoopla, prices in this postcode have already increased by £101,366, that’s 9% in the last year alone , highlighting the fantastic investment opportunity.

Sundridge Park will bring forth a wonderful range of 14 regal townhouses, 25 spacious apartments and two impressive detached mansions which will launch formally in June 2015.

Jonathan Cranley, sales and marketing director for Millgate, said: “No one can deny that the area in which we are creating our flagship development is unique, and the proof is in the investment potential of the stunning properties which are being created. For golf lovers, it’s even more lucrative as it’s situated within the grounds of Sundridge Park Golf Club so homeowners will be able to take advantage of the course’s offerings.”

Approach via a half-mile ‘secluded driveway’, visitors will enter a world of timeless elegance, which provides fantastic views of Sundridge Park golf course on either side. Each property will include every conceivable modern luxury but architecture is more notably mirrored by the Nash Mansion itself, thus designed with typical but impressive Georgian frontages, terraces and elevations to give a timeless and unique feel.

The townhouses, apartments and detached mansions will be conceived of the very best materials, so the specification is carefully chosen throughout. Traditional craftsmanship and a selection of leading designer names ensure that the premium specification at Sundridge Park is especially evident in the kitchens, utility rooms and bathrooms.

At Sundridge Park residents can enjoy the extensive landscaped grounds, which are being fully restored to their original glory as Humphry Repton intended, including large green lawn areas, small private gardens and areas of seclusion as required.

Sundridge Park Golf Club came into being in 1901 when Sir Samuel Edward Scott, then owner of Sundridge Park mansion and close friend of Edward VII, sold much of the estate for development. He became the club's first president and he retained the office until his death in 1943. Under Sir Samuel's stewardship, the club grew rapidly. Formally opened as a 9 hole course by no less a person than Alfred James Balfour, the Prime Minister in 1903, it soon expanded to 18 holes and then into the two championship golf courses that exist today.

With quality independent schools and shopping nearby, residents will be spoilt for choice in this advantageous location. Nearby Intu Bromley Shopping Centre boasts an array of shops and facilities, however for a day of shopping in London, trains from nearby Elmstead Woods reach Charing Cross in just over 20 minutes, whilst the M25 motorway, as well as Gatwick, Heathrow and London City airports, are all within easy reach.

Prices start at £695,000 for an apartment and £1.25 million for a townhouse, whilst the two mansions are priced at £3million and £3.25million. Sundridge Park is due to launch formally in June 2015, however Savills are happy to discuss plot specific interest. For more information, email nbutcher[at]savills.com.
