A select release of new townhouses at Bath’s leading property development will mean an exciting opportunity for property purchasers.

The four-storey, three-bedroom homes are available at Bath Riverside for £595,000 for a prescribed period of time as a New Limited Release.

Susan Young, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson said: “Bath Riverside has entered a new phase in which the emphasis is on townhouses rather than apartments and penthouses.

“To promote this, we have opened a stunning show home on Longmead Terrace designed by Bristol based Andrew Henry Interiors, and we are also making available a limited number of townhouses for £595,000.

“For prospective purchasers this provides a golden opportunity. There is also a further opportunity to save money as the limited availability price means these properties qualify for the Help-to-Buy scheme, which is a Government-backed initiative to help people buy a new home.”

Only properties priced at below £600,000 qualify for Help-to-Buy, under which buyers are only required to provide a deposit of 5% of the property value. The Government provides a further loan of up to 20% through the Homes and Communities Agency, and this means buyers can apply for a lower mortgage at more attractive rates.

For the first five years the Government’s loan is interest-free. In the sixth year, buyers are charged 1.75% interest, which then climbs at 1% every year after that plus any increase in inflation as measured by the RPI.

The townhouses available for £595,000 on New Limited Release at the award-winning Bath Riverside development have been built from traditional Bath stone and have modern features including bi-fold patio doors, composite stone kitchen worktops and built-in wardrobes

Susan Young added: “Although the appearance of these homes reflects the design of the classic Georgian terraces that are such a feature of Bath, they have the advantage of being built to modern standards and are therefore have lower running costs as they are more energy efficient and require less maintenance.”

The townhouses feature a spacious family breakfast room on the ground floor with a designer Alno kitchen and bi-fold patio doors leading out onto a decked terrace and private garden. The kitchen includes integrated Siemens appliances to include a steam/combi oven, single oven, dishwasher, wine cooler, fridge/freezer and induction hob.

The first floor comprises a living room with an area that can be used for dining or as a study for those working from home.

On the second floor are two bedroom, one with built-in wardrobe, plus a bathroom and airing cupboard. The en-suite master bedroom is on the third floor, and has ample wardrobe space and a second airing cupboard.
