Dozens of eager buyers attended an exclusive preview event in a bid to take pole position in the race for new homes in Bedfordshire.

Driven by demand, with a database of more than 500 people, Redrow invited prospective purchasers to a special preview of its Caddington Woods homes.

With a sales office now open at the development between Chaul End and Caddington, on land previously owned by General Motors, the award-winning housebuilder is gearing up to take the first reservations.

Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), explains: “People have been keen to find out more about the homes we’re building on land once used to test new models of cars. To satisfy buyers’ curiosity we invited those who’d registered their interest to an exclusive event where they could view the site model to get a feel for how the development will look and where the homes will sit.

“Initial feedback has been positive – those who’ve visited the new sales office say they love the combination of Arts & Crafts architecture and modern high specification interiors. We’re now in the process of financially qualifying potential purchasers and are finding that the three-bedroom designs are particularly popular.”

The first phase of Caddington Woods will offer 80 homes for sale in a choice of three, four and five-bedroom designs. Current prices range from £494,950 to £669,950.

“Because we’re selling the homes off plan there will be plenty of opportunities for customers to personalise their new home choosing everything from the finish of the kitchen to the bathroom tiles, all of which can be done at the touch of a button via the ‘My Redrow’ feature of our website,” Tonia adds.

The new homes at Caddington Woods will offer buyers the best of both worlds in both their design and the location. Homeowners will be able embrace semi-rural life and enjoy the surrounding countryside while also benefitting from a wealth of amenities in the nearby towns of Luton and Dunstable.

Strong road and rail links mean the area is sure to be popular with commuters. The A5, M1 and M5 are all within easy reach; while Leagrave and Luton stations offer direct services to London.
