Vauxhall’s ‘Year of the Conversion’ has been neatly rounded off with a prestigious award win, after the Luton-based manufacturer was named ‘Best One-Stop Shop’ by esteemed magazine What Van?

The honour comes after a frantic year for Vauxhall and both its core and recognised conversions, that has seen the range increased to encompass all manner of vehicles, from milk floats through to ambulances.

“Without a doubt, one of the most comprehensive ranges of special conversions on the market today is being offered by Vauxhall,” said What Van? editor Neil McIntee.

“Van and minibus conversions, tippers, Lutons, fridges – you name it and Vauxhall has got it.”

New additions to the Core and Recognised Conversions range in 2005 include highlights such as Ingimex tipper and dropside versions of the Movano – What Van? Van of the Year 2004 – a range of 9 to 17-seat minibuses, Vivaro and Movano Crew Cabs and a dropside version of Vivaro.

Vauxhall CV brand manager, Steve Bryant, said: “It’s a great honour to receive this award, as it proves once and for all that Vauxhall can provide a commercial vehicle to suit almost any application, with the full backing of a large manufacturer.

“When it comes to choosing a conversion, a Vauxhall retailer truly is a one-stop shop.”
