Vauxhall Corsavan prices announced

12th January 2007 Print
Vauxhall Corsavan You’d think that its style, driver appeal and all-round practicality would be enough to tempt buyers and fleet managers alike, but Vauxhall’s New Corsavan is also great value for money.

With prices starting at only £8,740 ex VAT, New Corsavan offers comprehensive equipment levels, including several luxuries you wouldn’t expect to find on a commercial vehicle, along with a choice of two excellent powerplants.

Available in the same single trim level, New Corsavan comes with either an 80PS 1.2-litre TWINPORT petrol engine, or a 75PS 1.3-litre CDTi diesel. Both units have already been highly successful in the Corsa car, and are both responsive and economical. The 1.3CDTi model costs £9,125 ex VAT.

Standard equipment on both petrol and diesel models includes an integrated radio-CD player, body-coloured bumpers front and rear, side protection mouldings, central locking with deadlocks, electric door mirrors, 14-inch wheeltrims and tinted tailgate glass, with options including air conditioning, ESP and rear park assist. New Corsavan’s car-like driving dynamics and sleek styling make it the perfect stablemate for the Astravan – a vehicle renowned for its driver appeal.

New Corsavan is also more versatile than ever before. A full-length flat load floor and a taller, wider tailgate make it more practical, while the payload is upped to 550kg, an increase of 85kg over the outgoing model. Designed from the outset as a commercial vehicle, New Corsavan is also available with a clever four-piece folding load cover – a £75 option that gives it significant security advantages over some of its rivals.

Corsavan is expected to be popular with van users who do a lot of city driving, where its compact dimensions, good all round visibility and ability to park almost anywhere come to the fore. But it’s equally as happy on long journeys, with both powerplants more than capable of cruising comfortably at the legal limit and offering excellent refinement.

The new model is also expected to appeal to image-conscious customers, who want their van to be a reflection of their brand. New Corsa has already earned itself a reputation as one of the most stylish superminis money can buy, and Corsavan is set to extend that style to the small commercial vehicle market.

New Corsavan is available to order now, and will arrive at Vauxhall retailers in March.
