When Christmas gifts, outfits or festive foods are purchased on an American Express Card they are covered against loss, theft and accidental damage by Purchase Protection for up to 90 days, covering £2,500 for a single item up to a total annual value of £20,000, and Online Fraud Protection for any unauthorised purchases made over the internet.
