Luxury log home living in the Laurentian Mountains

1st February 2008 Print
Ogilvy Lakes will be a four-season development situated in the heart of the Laurentian Mountains, one hour north of Montreal, 1.5 hours from Ottawa, 5 minutes from the nearest skiing and just 20 minutes from Mont Tremblant Resort. Visitors can enjoy a round of golf at one of the most scenic courses in the area, explore the breathtaking surroundings by walking the woodland trails, swimming, fishing and sailing on the two lakes, or take advantage of the resort’s state-of-the-art gym and spa facilities.

Ogilvy Lakes: following the Blueberry recipe for success
One thing that makes both investors and Vivaldi Resorts confident about the Ogilvy Lakes project is the phenomenal success of Vivaldi’s previous project: Blueberry Lake Resort. Representing an entirely new approach to holiday homes in the Laurentian Mountains, Blueberry Lake Resort had reservations on phase 1, 2 and 3 houses within three weeks of its launch into the UK market.

As with Blueberry Lake Resort, Ogilvy Lakes investors buy houses off-plan from a selection of three luxury designs. Within one to four years (depending on the order of build schedule) the investors will be the proud owner of a traditionally-built Canadian log home of exceptional quality. Between 2350 and 3250 square feet, four or five bedrooms, and situated on individual plots of at least one acre. Price depends on location. The five bedroomed Iroquois model for example will cost between $825,000 on an acre plot up to $2.5 million for a six acre plot on the lake The homes are scattered throughout the woodland and around the lakes and golf course, so there is little feeling of boundaries to the properties anyway.

The finished homes will be fully equipped with every modern amenity – including 42” plasma TV, pool table and luxury hot tub – and fully furnished with top of the range contemporary furniture.
Vivaldi Resort’s dedicated, experienced and innovative construction team have developed and employed increasingly refined work practices to build the houses efficiently. Energy-efficiently and to the highest quality of finishes…finishes that have won praise from industry experts and customers alike.
