Daniel Knight is carving out a new home for himself as a first time buyer. Daniel, 21, who works for developer Redrow Homes, has followed in his father’s footsteps. Dad Michael also works for the company as a site manager and lives in a home built by his employer.

Like many other young professional buyers at the development, prices from £60,000, with the opportunity to defer payment of 10% of the initial purchase price for up to 10 years, interest free, proved too tempting to Daniel.

He said: “The apartment offered really good value for money and offered me a great chance to get on the property ladder.

“My family home is a Redrow property and my father and I both work for the company so we are both big fans of their homes.

“I am working on the same site as my new home is being built and I hope to get the chance to do all the carpentry work, including doors and skirtings.”

A one bedroom property, with an easy-to-budget-for single monthly charge for gas, water and electricity and external maintenance, is priced from £53,995, under the Easi-buy option to defer 10% of the initial purchase price.
