Knight Frank unveil project team for SA1’s £80m residential scheme Leading global property consultants Knight Frank, the agency responsible for securing the first Korean residential development in the UK at Swansea’s SA1 scheme, has unveiled the team of experts that will lead the £80m project.

Acting on behalf of Coda, a Korean property development company, the professional team includes Cardiff-based law firm, Capital Law LLP, award winning architectural practice, Latitude, construction and property consultants, Cyril Sweett and engineering specialists, Atkins.

The mixed use project comprises 406 apartments, 275 car parking spaces and 715 sq.m of retail space within two buildings situated overlooking the Prince of Wales Dock. The highly sustainable buildings will achieve an Ecohomes ‘excellent’ rating through the inclusion of a range of measures including a biomass heating system and rainwater harvesting. The design of the highly contemporary scheme by Latitude will include two elliptical aluminum clad nine storey towers linked to lower blocks that create pleasant courtyards adjacent to the water.

Construction and property consultants, Cyril Sweett is responsible for the delivery of the scheme until completion and will be providing project management, cost consultancy, planning supervision and sustainability advice. The consultancy will also manage the appointment of a contractor to undertake the three year building works.

Atkins will undertake the required geotechnical, structural, civil and building services engineering design and will provide specialist acoustic engineering and transportation planning services.

In addition to having already acted on the purchase of the land on behalf of Coda, Capital Law LLP will represent the organisation going forward in the off plan sales of the residential apartments.
